Capsloc Youth Centre (Capelle aan den IJssel - The Netherlands)

The new Capsloc Youth Centre in Capelle aan den IJssel was opened in March 2010. The youth centre consists of a large hall for at least 400 people, a fully-equipped rehearsal room for bands, a multimedia area and a bar. Merford provided various sound-insulating access and emergency exit doors for the large hall and the rehearsal room. A (type MN53) sound-insulating access door with three glass panels was provided for the bar. After delivery, the unglazed doors were covered with paint splashes by a firm of interior architects in order to create an artistic effect. In addition, the walls are rust-coloured as well as vandal-proof.
